Chijioke Ike, Veteran Nollywood Actor and Producer Dies, Industry in Mourning
Nollywood is in mourning as Chijioke Ike, a renowned actor and producer has gone to join his ancestors. This was announced by fellow filmmaker Ajemba Stanley Chibueze, popularly known as Stanley Ontop on Instagram.

Stanley Ontop said Chijioke Ike collapsed during a family meeting in his hometown in eastern Nigeria and didn’t make it. He mourned, “Black Day for Nollywood eastern part as we lost a Nollywood producer and marketer @globalgoldenmovies. This one pain me ooo”
Chijioke Ike’s sudden exit has left a gap in the industry as colleagues and fans are in shock and mourning. Actresses Destiny Etiko Chizzy Alichi and others have publicly mourned his passing, saying he touched so many lives.
Chijioke Ike was with Global Golden Movies, a production and marketing company that promoted Nollywood movies, especially in eastern Nigeria. He was a dedicated one and contributed so much to the industry.
His death has sparked a lot of condolences on social media with many recalling his contributions to Nigerian movies and the mentorship he gave to up-and-coming talents. His death is a big loss to Nollywood which has lost other big names recently.
As Nollywood mourns Chijioke Ike, his work will still inspire audiences and filmmakers. His love for storytelling and film production will forever be etched in Nollywood.
