My fifth album will change everybody’s life – Davido reveals

Afrobeats legend and Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido, has revealed plans for his eagerly awaited fifth studio album, promising a work that will make a lasting impression on listeners.

The musician boldly announced his intentions for a successful record in a recent video that was posted aboard his private jet with his wife, Chioma.

Davido revealed the album, 5ive, will be released in 2025 on December In an Instagram post, he said, “This one is straight from the heart – my story, my truth, my growth.” He described the album as his most intimate work to date.

With the release of the lead song, “Funds,” which features collaborations with Odumodublvck and Chike, the album push is well underway. The song combines Davido’s own style with nostalgia by sampling Brenda Fassie’s classic 1997 hit, “Vuli Ndlela.”

The star expressed his excitement, saying, “This one’s for the dreamers, the go-getters, and everyone chasing what’s theirs! Thank you for riding with me. Let’s make history again!”

The video has generated an outburst on X as his fans have come out to show support for him.
