AY Makun Responds to Criticism Over Burial Absence
Nigerian comedian AY Makun has subtly reacted to the criticism that trailed his alleged absence at the burial of his estranged wife Mabel’s mother, Mrs. Rose Temietan Eyesan Nwanegbu.

The burial was held in Ikoyi, Lagos, with family members, friends, and celebrities in attendance.
As no photo or video showing AY attending the event surfaced online, it generated a lot of speculations and criticisms on social media.
Many netizens accused him of deliberately missing the big event.
Reacting to the growing criticism, AY shared a photo of himself and his brother, donning black attires and sunshades, a supposed mourning mood on Instagram, writing, “It is well….”
Reactions flowed in like a river. While some felt he should have his way, mourning in privacy, others are furious over his alleged absence.
One of his fans, accompanied his post with the words: “Thank you for going to support the mother of your kids. You are a man.” Another said, “People are just quick to judge.”
Even though AY’s post on Instagram didn’t mean he was going to be at the said burial, it may mean AY may opt to silently attend the burial as a mark of respect for the dead. That shows how very personal family matters are in these circles.
