“Of course, Saudi league is better than League 1” – Cristiano Ronaldo

The debate between the Saudi league and League 1 has gained traction over time, considering how fast-rising the Saudi league is becoming.

According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, in his recent post, Cristiano Ronaldo claims the Saudi Pro League is much better than Ligue 1.

Ronaldo also claims that the French Ligue 1 only has one dominating team, which is Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

According to Ronaldo, every other club in Ligue 1 is nothing to talk about.

“Saudi League is better than Ligue 1, of course. France only has PSG. The rest are finished. —Cristiano Ronaldo.

He also laid emphasis on the cold weather in Saudi Arabia. Footballers find it difficult to run in cold weather.

Players in the French league might not survive with the weather in Saudi.

“Try to sprint in 38, 39, or 40-degree weather and see…”.

The post gained more reactions, as one of the most interesting comments was from a user with the handle @Badcomedian.

“It’s hard to disagree with Ronaldo: Ligue 1 does indeed revolve around PSG, and the Saudi League is becoming increasingly competitive, attracting stars and creating new challenges, including playing in extreme conditions.”

Quite a few numbers of people disagreed with Ronaldo’s statement.
