Police in Anambra recover vehicle of k!dn@pped lawmaker
The Anambra state police command has recovered the vehicle of the state assembly member who was k!dn@pped
Operatives of the Anambra state police command who have been attached to the Inland Town division have recovered a vehicle belonging to Justice Azuka, the Anambra state assembly member representing the Onitsha North constituency, who was k!dn@pped on Tuesday, 24th December, 2024, while he was returning home along Ugwunapampa Road in Onitsha by yet-to-be-identified persons.
The vehicle was recovered following an intense operation in which the officials of the Nigerian Police Force, Anambra state command, have been carrying out in recent times. It was sighted along upper Iweka road.
The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed this development, stating that the police won’t stop until they ensure that the honourable member of the state assembly is safely returned home and the perpetrators of this unacceptable cr!m!nal act are brought to book.
In his own statement, the Anambra state Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, also speaking through the police spokesperson, commended the police operatives for a job well done so far; however, he charged them to double the intensity of their work so as to ensure the lawmaker is rescued as soon as possible. He also warned the public about involving themselves in cr!m!nal activities and stressed that in as much as the police are your friends, as soon as you choose to disobey and disregard the law, the police becomes your worst en£my.
