Afrobeat songwriter Ruger advises Nigerian Men about IJGB girls
The popular trend IJGB in Nigeria, which means “I Just Got Back,” has stirred many reactions and conversations, as many Nigerians shared their thoughts about it.
I.J.G.B. is a Nigerian slang term for a member of the upper classes who has just returned to the country after an extended period abroad.
Nigerian Afrobeat songwriter Ruger took to his Snapchat account to advise men about girls who claim to be under the class of IJGB.

He expressed his thoughts on how Nigerian men act weird whenever they hear a girl who just returned from abroad speak in the American or British accent.
“Naija boys dey lose composure once they hear IJGB girl accent, whether dey fine or not,” he wrote.
Ruger narrated how some of these girls pretend to be top-tier girls just to feel relevant in the eyes of many Nigerians.
“They are here pretending to be top-tier babes because the boys in their country don’t rate them; be wise; don’t waste your money trying to impress them,” he added.
