25-Year-Old Mother Arrested For Drowning Daughters After Discovering Husband’s Infidelity

Blessing Chiromonyo, a 25-year-old Zimbabwean lady, has been taken into custody on charges of k!ll!ng her two young daughters during a sad home argument that was sparked by rumors of her husband’s infidelity.

The incident happened near a water canal in Section 4 of Triangle, Masvingo, on January 8, 2025.

In what looks to be a m¥rder-suicid€ attempt, Chiromonyo allegedly took her girls, ages three and seven, to the canal and dove into the water with them, according to a police statement posted on social media site X.

Despite Chiromonyo’s unscathed survival of the powerful currents, her two daughters were swept away and sadly drowned.

Preliminary investigations suggest the incident was triggered by a heated argument between Chiromonyo and her husband after she accused him of cheating.

Neighbors reportedly heard shouting before the situation escalated into the devastating act.

Chiromonyo is presently being held by the police on suspicion of m¥rder while the case is still being investigated.

In addition to leaving the Masvingo community in shock, the terrible incident has spurred extensive conversations about mental health, marital disputes, and the value of getting help when faced with difficult family circumstances.
